Always wanted to drive the circuit with a bike now i can :)

Got me an Arduino, wrote a program to translate pulses to rotation angle and hooked it up to a pot.
The pot was fitted to a xbox controller so i was able to configure the pot for the gas pedal.

So now i can use my hometrainer to pedal indoors when the weather outside is to bad for my mountain bike.

As David Hobbs might say: "It looked like the AI drivers were peddling as fast as they could, but they couldn't catch you."  :P

Can you do this the other way? Getting the data out of GPL and using it to control a rev counter, oil gauge and so on? Would be interesting to build a fully working sim cockpit!

Yes that is possible.
Just a matter of reading those values and translate them to angles for the servos.
Then create some adapters to fit them to the axles of the gauges.

Too easy , Silverstone is flat
20 laps at Rouen is better training !

True but you have to start somewhere and improve that step by step ;)
