1966 Mod Crashes Out

20 Mar 2019

I have been re-installing GPL on my new Windows10 PC and I have battled through some difficult loading problems.

So far I have all the mods running,1965, F2, the Can-am Mods and the GT Cars. I have decided to focus on the GPL cars but I cannot get the 1966 mod to progress beyond the opening screen. I have created a player for the 1966 mod and have all of the files and car set organised in GEM. When I select to move to the tracks, the program crashes back to the desktop. I have re-installed the mod using the 1966 V1 and had no success. I have tried to install the V2 update but without V1 working this was a hail mary and it didn't work. I have deleted the car files and tracked down all of the config files relating to the 1966, deleting them before re-installing, but the the situation has not improved. Is there some other area in GPL where the mod files are causing problems. Any suggestions welcome. I suspect that it is some problem with an ini or config file somewhere?

Graphic Display Grainy And Blurred - New User

As a GPL virgin I have succeeded in downloading the updated program to my Windows 10 v 1803 desktop PC.

The program seems to run OK (without multi-tasking access to email, etc in background) but the graphics are awful such that it is not really usable. I have attached screen pictures and copy of my system spec.

I bought the original program when it first came out (pouring over the excellent manual that came with it!) but never had the time to get it set up and use, due to other commitments. Now that I have more I am determined to indulge my passion for this the pinnacle era of GP racing.

Grateful for your help.

Life On The Limit

Just watched this documentary film and was totally blown away.

One of the best dvd movies, that I've seen in years. Great scenes with unseen footage, especially the camera angles of the mass pile up at the 1973 British GP, on that fateful first lap. Which no one was miraculously or seriously hurt.

As well as focusing on the tragedy, heartache and long difficult crusade, towards safety in Motorsport. Very much an update to the film 'Grand Prix Killer Years'

Pretty cheap on EBay too:
