Hello everybody :)

Here is as the title says a final version of Phillip Island, a track very well known for his bikes races, but also used with cars, and which is definitely very very fun !

Okay, I know that some of you are expecting some other tracks, but rest assured, they will be released soon !

Anyway, the idea to make it final has been proposed by Stefan Roess, starting from the beta version created by docroberto in 2004.
A great thank to him for this initiative, and of course also to docroberto !
Stefan and Pavel has gave us some nice pictures and videos from the sixties.
As usual “Dottore“ Ginetto has made all the hard work (3do and friends...) and also some beautiful textures ! A special thank to him !
Gliebzeit also participated, and Sergio Loro gave me a helping hand.

A huge thank to all these gentlemen, without whom this version would not have been possible !

You will find after the installation some detailed informations in the folder, and also some alternate files.

But there is a recommendation :
If some of you have the beta version already installed, it is better to remove it before to install this one !
Normally, you won't be too much deceived...

And now, all you have to do is try it ! ^_^

Some screenshots...

And the thing...
Attached File  Phillip_Island_67_v1.0.rar   17.53MB   184 downloads

Ps : When releasing the track, I forgot to wait the addition of the sound files made by Gliebzeit...
Here is my error corrected by him... Thanks a lot Greg ! http://srmz.net/inde...48

And the adventure goes on... :drive1:

Looks great, one issue on my end..
I already have a directory called pi67 and it's not a Phillip Island Beta.
It seems to be "Phoenix Int'l Raceway".
Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance
TTFN
John.

EDIT: Ignore, The track ini etc says Phoenix Int'l Raceway but it's actually the Phillip Island Beta. :wall:
I'll delete it and start again.

snafu, "Phoenix Int'l Raceway" has a track folder named: pir67. (note the 'r' in the folder name)

For "Phillip Island Circuit" the track folder is named: pi67.

This is Phillip Island with track announcer sounds.

Besides the Original-FB version, there is also an optional Hi-FB version of pi67.3do, if your PC setup can handle it.
This option was tested on my PC with a full field of Sports Cars.

These two versions of the pi67.3do file are in sub-folders.
Un-archive your choice of the pi67.3do file into your pi67 track folder.

Talking about new tracks and the link here to an Australian track, it as reminded me of another missing track. Can't remember it's name. It as been talked about on here before.

I'm not sure if it's Australia or New Zealand, in the southern hemisphere and whether it's been done already and somehow I've missed its release 🤔

It's related to the Tasman series. I remember installing the mod some years back and at least one track (not sure if there was 2) were missing to have a full Tasman series. I think you had to substitute with other tracks.

Apologies for the mystery and vagueness, regarding the track/s name. Maybe someone can jog my memory. If the tracks/s haven't been done, is there plans to do so 🤔

TP: 🏁

Twinpotter,
There are 4 Tasman cup tracks (1964-69) not yet realised in GPL.  Pukekohe, Teretonga Park, Warwick Farm and Longford.  You can find ed76's suggested substitute tracks  in this thread....
