Despite this being a mostly a simracing forum and even that very much focused on GPL, there have to be some of us that are interest in real world racing. So why not have a thread for just that*.

That said, here is calendar of what's going this year all over the world.

First thing I'm probably going to watch is the Daytona 24 at the end of January. What are you guys looking forward to?

*He says hoping, this wont devolve into a rant about everything was better when the world was still black and white and how the invention of colour ruined racing forever :D

Dakar, Daytona 24h, Daytona 500, ... and then the rest.
But I love Daytona 24h, because of the gap between the seasons...
(ok, I am watching sometimes old races on YT)...

The IndyCars for 2018 look great, and as always I'm looking forward to the Indy 500. It's often the most exciting race of the year in my opinion.

Yes, the Dakar is one event I love to follow,it has to be the most epic race of the year !

The 24h of Daytona because I need my racing fix after the winter break .I also read that Fernando Alonso will be participating this year.

Of course I can't leave out the WRC season opener at Monte Carlo.

There are so many good series, but I don't have enough time to watch them  .
One series I like watching too much (from uploaded races on YT, as they're not broadcasted in Europe) is Canadian NASCAR Pinty's Series. Good combination of ovals and road courses. Sometimes I think, that there is nothing better to watch, than stock cars on road courses...

I did not know that series, but just looked up some some videos, very cool indeed!

Stockcars on roadcourses is an awkward combination that is great to watch.

I'll be watching F1, MotoGP, British Touring Cars, British Superbikes, World Rally Championship and maybe some IndyCar if I can put up with all the adverts.

Looking forward to F1 at Melbourne, not sure if the circuit is ready yet though ;) :

To answer my own question mostly because I just stumbled over a clip of it, Japanese Super GT. If you haven't seen it, link goes to last years Sugo race, do yourself a favour and watch it.

Pretty controversial topic of last days. What do you think about it? Is it really that bad how many people say?

For kids it can be thrilling I supposse, but I rather have grid girls, please.

The only reason grid girls are banned now is because these modern 'feminists' SJWs these days  brand such things as sexist or whatever, which isn't even true in the slightest.

I also prefer grid girls but sadly times are changing and sometimes in very weird way. In WEC for example are not grid girls since 2015. So i'm glad at least for these kids. Now i hope that Liberty Media after all this controversies do something really good. F1 needs it.

Couldn't care less. I'm not even sure when I last paid attention to the prerace goings on in F1 or other series. On the other hand someone not involved got upset, lost people their jobs which is now being taken over by unpaid child labour.
