Thank you Jim for a wonderful piece of work,
Not only is it  outstanding piece of work as a track, the different facilities that you have produced are enough to make it a game (sorry, SIM) on its own. I have not sat down to work out the possible variations that one could make.  What a job you have done.

I find only one fault -

it will take me as long to learn it as it has taken you to make it and I am unlikely to reach the age of 101 !

Many thanks for your gift and many congratulations on your perseverance.

Thank you so much Jim for make of the full version of IOM! This is a new standard for GPL, fantastic well done! To match the components in the track making, resulting this detailed and real-looking scenery is very impressive Jim. :wow:

I couldn’t wait for my first try; 67-Eagle, default setup, no options. Did two laps carefully.
Near to end of lap I got too wide in a first-gear corner where altered my suspension, did next lap, was possible when speed isn’t at the limit. Run out of fuel at the mountain, did then a shift+R. Ok not clean lap, but my first time.

This is a prove for well-done graphics when first-time driving is possible to do the lucky way! The red signs help a lot where to lift the gas pedal. Next to continue, I want to explore the options and learn more of the IOM. Again thanks! :thankyou:

Here is a better AAIOM GEM+ picture.  This jpg uses the correct GEM+ background and full-size cover image.  :)

Being a "JimPearson's tracks fan" - but onestly, who's not? - I've followed this project from the start, as many here around, and waited patiently, as all the GPL drivers. Now it's here, and surely I'm astonished. Everyone knows your way of work, I think: no chatter, few words, little news along the way, no unecessary teaser, it's done when it's done; instead, one man band hard work, complete commitment, great attention to every detail, released stuff when You are right and sure it's finished at the best possible. Not enough praise words can be spent for You and also all the others great tracks makers, developers and co. that made and make GPL to be at the top.

Many Thanks, master. :hat-tip:

I'm Having A Problem!!

I know everyone is in praising mode and I think the track is fantastic...however if I select the Pit Stall for a starting point, I get stuck in the pits and eventually the car keeps stalling and there is a crash back to GEM. I have tried changing car sets and the result is the same with GP cars or Sports Cars. I changed the Start Point with Options and I was able to commence a lap and everything worked fine. After doing a lap I went back to the Pit Stall as start point with another crash.

I've run GPL for a long time in 5760 x 1080 and all of the other mod tracks and car sets work fine. It's running in Windows 10 on a dedicated gaming computer that is quite high powered. I'm running Pribula and 60FPS patch.

Anyone got any suggestion on which setting is causing the problem? I also downloaded the Track files for a second time, thinking that maybe the first ones were corrupt. I'm stuck for a solution at the moment.

I said it in the CTD thread by accident, but this track is amazing Jim. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work.

Now to learn it well enough to make a video!

@Liggy64

Go into the track.ini and look for
[ pit_lane_0 ]
stall_0 = 60712 17.2
stall_1 = 60707 10.7
...

if there are other values, edit them manually

The sensation of speed through the fast sections is like no other track. Especially when you are not 100% what is coming next. :yikes:
And that is with the T77  which is not the fastest thing we have for top speed.

The abridged version was great, this is on another level ..... absolutely amazing !!!

Thanks again Jim. :thumbup:

Anyone got under 19 mins yet ?

As suggested by Cookie, you could try a different lateral value for Pit Stall_0 which is where the car ALWAYS sits in training mode.

Could be its too close to the wall on the left. However, I tested using Options Manager Pit Stall selection using the Alfa 33 and could exit normally.

Try

[ pit_lane_0 ]
stall_0 = 60712 16.5
stall_1 = 60707 10.7
stall_2 = 60702 16.7............................ETC

If that fixes the problem I will ask Lee to amend the Options Manager program.

Please advise result.

Does anyone have a Manx flag pbf file for the best laps screen?
Just noticed that this is the only track I have installed without a flag in the best laps screen. Not that I have been able to complete a lap yet without having to use shift+R, but I'm hopeful :D

I can make one if you can find the size required. Try this.

I will update the installer so that when I do final versions the Best Laps screen should call this flag up instead of the current USA flag I think was in there. At this stage I dont know how to include the new flag with the current install.

Jim, the size of all the flags in GPL is 46 x 33 pixels.

Thanks Jim & Cookie. The modification to the Pit Stall setting worked. I can get out of the pits!!! Could the cause of that suddenly being a problem, be the wide screen that I'm using places the car in a unique position? I have run into this at the Spa 67 track as well, but in that instance I have been able to get out of the pits. I will check it out on that track too.
