@ KARTM,  Yea that is what I have been trying to figure out.  I thought that,  or is was a swing arm to keep the rear end in line.

@Lee200,   DUDE!   That is the best image I have seen to date.   It doesn't show the "dampers" but it is the most complete image of the frame I have seen.  I think I can work something out that should be reasonably close. (I don't think I will ever get it 100% but I'll settle for 95%)

I think most of you (especially GPL editors) understand my obsession over these small details.  I have always had a tendency to go off into details that most people think are not important.

It is part of my interest in learning the "why" of things I do.  I hate not knowing...

Cheers,
Bob

Even models can help.  I once did paint jobs for a '78 F1 carset and had to resort to photos of a die-cast model for one car when the only photo I could find of the real car was a 3/4 view showing little more than the rear wing and left rear tire.

Here is an update to the rear suspension and drive train on the Gordini.   Real life got in the way so had to put this on the back burner for a while but have worked on it here and there so I thought I would post an update.

I had to make up what I thought the rear suspension would be.  Not really confident that it is right but it is probably the best I can come up with without any real resources.

I have a few more details I need to finish up on this one but it is pretty close to complete.   I already have the Ferrari 625 and the Maserati in Blender and will be posting those shots as I get them done.

Enjoy,

Bob

Impressive!  Nice texturing.  I hate to think what type of PC would be required for this level of detail in a racing sim.
