That would be nice. All I have is one small monitor.

That's a stunning lap Robert, very impressed. I did have to laugh at the low tech solution to getting the monitors on the same level, but an impressive rig just the same. I have to make do with an office chair with wheels, if I stamp on the brakes too hard I'm in danger of flying backwards across the room. ( A poor excuse for my slow times but it's the only one I've got)

I also make do with a single "small" monitor (23"), but it's all relative - I first played GPL on a 14" CRT monitor running 640x480.

It's good to see that you have a seasoned navigator .... with what looks like excellent night vision.  ;)

She spoilt an online race or two though, like my other cat jumping on my lap or legdancing

lol Sid, sometimes I push the pedals (not fixed) away but funnily enough it's mostly the throttle side having a heavy right foot...have destroyed a few MSFF pedal springs (again always throttle), but have still 2 working MSFF sets, and 2 broken ones for parts

Thanks, I'm kind off lazy and low tech (2x 19" monitor for €25 as well) :P When I drive, mostly at evenings, I have lights out and then the immersion is quite good sitting close to the monitors, about 35-40cm/15inches. But need to get a secondhand 21" (have one) then the height proportions will be quite OK with my main 24" (16:10/16:9/16:10). As said, still need to fabricate an aluminum frame to mount the monitors on (the cockpit) and then get used to the cockpit and custom Hitman pedals (those will be way more accurate than my modest MSFF pedals).

Again, having a lot of fun hotlapping at Spa67, it's good to extensively drive here and see how much I did improve over the last 2 years. Getting a lot of good feedback of ppl not knowing GPL, they are surprised how good the track looks! GPL came a long way. Many thanks to all trackmakers and modders. But this track stands out to me, it's incredible! :)

Thanks Robert ,

Let's guess the two things we share regarding our sim racing installations ! :D

the seat .. and ??

Sometimes I wonder why I don't do any driving progress.....

Cats share our love for racing seats; Pic just taken now, five minuts after I have seen yours .... At the time of writing, you have the best dreams of my dear cat, Fantomas

Michel

One day, I wld like to have the same wide angle field of view than yours ( What the driver could certainly see in the real racing conditions)  , but only on one TV OLED screen ; But If I want a RL size front track for the car, I think the OLED UHD TV on the Market aren't large enough .

love the co-pilots :D I have 2 ;)

I also use an office chair these days but I sit it on some polystyrene sheets to stop it moving too much & my pedals are braced with a box full of bricks against the wall :D

a cockpit/triple screens is a dream for another day... hopefully

Pardon me if this question seems amateurish.. I've been with GPL since the beginning..  but this thread has me intrigued ... I have separate installs for each and every mod for reasons of my own. Regarding the 4GB patch, do I have to apply that patch to each subsequent mod executable to take advantage of it's benefits? Meaning the GPLC executable for that mod.  I am running a 64 bit system with 12 GB of ram ....

Guys, I`m not long back to dear old GPL after way too long a break, I can`t remember if I`ve posted my thanks for this totally amazing work that is now Spa67. So I`m going to do it now, even if I have done it already it`s well worth two sets of thanks for this masterpiece.

So... many, many thanks to all involved for doing this. It is without doubt a work of genius. The track just looks and drives so well now. It`s addictive!

I know doing projects like this is just a mind blowing amount of work so cheers to all for doing it.

If all the original tracks in GPL looked like Spa67... ok, I`ll stop now. :P

Thanks guys... B) B) B)

As you wrote that you have returned to GPL after a long brake you might have missed these updates:

Rouen Historical 2.0
http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=3534

Zandvoort 67 Multi-Season Add-on
http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=4220

Mexico Multi Season Update
http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=5009

The tracks are not scratch made like Spa67, but a big improvement in graphics and historical correctness.
In case you have installed or updated GPL with the GPLPS GPL Installer Beta 1.08 (or previous version 1.07) these Rouen, Zandvoort and Mexico updates are included.

Don't the 1.07-1.08 installers have these 3 track updates in them?

You`re more than welcome Stefan and mod team. As I`ve said, Spa67 is simply a masterpiece.

I did actually know about the other updated tracks and I did install GPL with the v1.08 installer so have them now too but thanks for pointing it out anyway, I appreciate it.

There`s one thing though... all the other tracks in GPL are being a bit neglected now as I can`t stop driving Spa67! B)

Here is a 1965 treatment of Spa67.  There is an overcast horizon/sky file set, along with damp asphalt and verges.
Included is a track65.ini file with a fog section - this may be turned off by changing type = 1 to type = 0 (or change the values to suit).

This graphical update uses the '65 Mod naming convention ie 3do files are 365; mip files are m65; and srb files are s65.
