Give me a little time to go through my pictures and maybe I took a video last year...

I'm not too good with that meter stuff  :idunno:  but we'll get it sorted out

I should have sent this to you a while ago!  :duh:   :whip:

Just to give a sense of how it looks today, here is a pic I took looking down at turn 2. The cars would have come up from the left. I would say the track gains 20 feet there easily. I wish I knew Ginetto needed info. I would have taken many more pics! The only other thing I can say is that the front straight seemed completely flat. If you walk over the bridge today, you will hear a "hollow" sound. When they filled in the underpass, I guess they wouldn't have been able to fill it tightly with dirt. I do know some people around there who might be able to get more data on elevation. How accurate would GPS be? If I walked the track would it give more accurate data for elevation than Google?

A GPS walk would be awesome  just followed by some description of cambers if still present.
I know part of the track is now gone for good but I think was able to get the most part of the track, the second bridge between turn 8 and 9 is in GPL :)
Thank you all! :yeah:

Hi Josef Paul, do you have a GPS? Live close by? Might be able to go in a week or two and do some trigonometry, just a little busy right now...

No, I was just down in the area to watch the Tour of California bike race. I do have some people I know down there who might be willing to help out. If you're prepared to do some trigonometry, I'm sure it would be much better than what I could do!

My friend's daughter took his GPS on vacation, when she gets back in a week or two, I'll do a walk! :446:

Hi Ginetto,

If you go to the link below, you will find a good video of the Paramount Ranch track.

Wow! Thanks for that link. Amazing stuff.

Ginetto, I won't be back down there until May, but if you still need the info then I will certainly try to get it.

Gregory, thank you for the link ... what a fantastic collection ... the only thing missing is the sound, I would love to hear all those great sports car sounds rounding Paramount, Pebble Beach, Thompson, Cumberland and all those other great old circuits, sadly most now gone ... a great collection to save and refer to, and reminisce over all the great names who seemingly would race any circuit, anywhere, any time, these are the men who helped shape and define motor racing, at least here in the U.S.

here's a short list of prominent drivers names from the entrants list for the 1956 Sebring 12 Hour Grand Prix of Endurance (as written):

M.J. Fangio, Phil Hill, Sterling Moss, Colin Chapman, Mike Hawthorne, Masten Gregory, Count von Trips, Hans Herrmann, Peter Lovely, Forbes Robinson, and Carroll Shelby

quite a who's who of racing at lil ol' Sebring, Florida

:wowspring:

:bump:
Still no walk with GPS ont the track path?
I'll start to create objects to dress the track and wanted to be sure the elevations aren't too off.
