Here is a small addon to give 10% less grip for winter conditions.

It works the same way as the snowtude 10% less grip addon

Please Paul, could you teach me how to make this modification?

You just change the surface type in the track .trk from tarmac to paint.
Paint has 10% less grip than tarmac.

I found it makes me about 3 seconds slower than the normal rouen track.

For fog and white dirt ( snow ) I use these settings in the track.ini and track65.ini

[ fog ]
type = 1
density = 5
fog_r = 190
fog_g = 190
fog_b = 200

[ dirt ]
dirt_r = 225
dirt_g = 225
dirt_b = 225

When loading a trk file into GPLTrk (GTK-TRK/3DO editor) the Surface Type3 is 'Curbs'.

'Paint' that was mentioned in an earlier post is not a Surface Type, but a mip (graphic) name.  :)

Hi Stefan,

The sunny_sky addon is not working for me. The 3do file is broken.
Without the addon, the sky looks horrible.

Hi Marcel,

I will check when I am in front of my race PC again.

:wave:

Sorry that it has taken some days.

I also got an error when I wanted to unpack the "rouenwin_sunny_sky.zip" of post #13 with an older version of WinRAR.
But it worked to unpack the .zip file it with 7-zip.

Here it is repacked to 7-zip format (.7z):

the modification of sky works perfectly like the sliperry. I donĀ“t like fog ( but I can put it when I want) Congratulations for the new tracks to the author. and thank for the modifications too. The original track is a Papyrous author. Its a pleasure this winter circuit.

I can't get the fog to work since the latest update. Had it before but now it does not override the sky. I have the track.ini where the [Fog] settings are but I have never had a track65.ini

Any clues please?

Fog section is commented out in latest update track ini. Remove ? before [fog].

Thanks marco and fajanko,
Solved the problem, a semi-colon had crept into the fog line like this  ;[Fog]  so now fixed.

Marco, did you realise you have fog twice in your track.ini with different RGB settings; though it doesn't cause a problem as far as I can see.

I'd also like to remove the snow animation if that's possible.

It appears you are correct and it has a semi-colon too. I had no idea it was there,thanks for pointing it out Alan.
I'm happy you got it sorted out, as for the snow animation,I'll have to look into that.

There are 3 animation files in the rouenwin folder and I removed them along with 3 snow mip files but I get a could not load track,so I can't help you. lol I'm sure someone here will have an answer though. Wish I could help but my knowledge on the matter is limited. :confused:
