@ Leon. Thank you. Thomas' works are always extraordinary beautiful, but you added a touch of real life.

@ Orpheus. Mario (right?), I have your pictures too. I think they refer to a  refurbished RA300 for expositions. Here is John Surtess at Monza. Anyhow, my compliments for all your  works.

I can't post a screenshot now, but I just have the old style thick rectangular white gauge "needles", not the textured fine needles that I see in the screenshots here. I only have those needles in the Ferrari cockpit, the rest is still old style.

Using the very high detail inner-front wheel/tires that Thomas included with his recent Honda RA300 update (with the inner-front wheel made transparent by Orpheus) I've made the remaining wheel/tires for the inner-rear, outer-rear and outer-fronts in a reduced resolution for performance sake.

Note:  THESE ARE IMAGES MADE FROM Thomas L├Ąchele ORIGINAL WORK

Nicolas go here to remove the red limiter on the Honda  http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=10152

For what it concerns the rpm needle, everyone of us has the simple white texture. The Ferrari is the only car I am aware of that has also a specific needle. My Honda uses the simple white texture ;)

I rechecked your screenshots, you're right! I was mistaken. :) OK, so I don't have something wrong with my Honda. Thanks for your patience. :)

We have been deprived since  GPL birth, from good and usable Honda RA 273/ RA 300 historical cockpit details.

Thks to Mr Joe Honda marvellous softbound books, here it is. How John Surtees could see from his Italian GP. Let's hope that is the definitive reference.

- the oil pressure gauge is graded to 25 psi, and not to 60, as it is with those refurbished Honda  dashboard, from the Honda Museum.  Seems Eric Broadley simply used the one installed on the RA 273, graded to 25.

- As says Leon for the red overevving mark : don't seems there was one on the RA 300 and the RA 273 after checking a few period pics at different races, but maybe that is a GPL  thing we want.

We were in doubt about the steering axle screws. Light alloy looks correct.

The dashboard shot attached from Gianfranco or Remy, I think , looks correct apart the oil pressure. Some cable on the left  can be added, for the realism maniacs !

looking again at the large Monza dashboard, symetry wasn 't perfect. The oil pressure was installed quite in contact with the central  RPM gauge. The water temp gauge not. A tiny difference with GPL version.

and we have the numbers wrong for the gauge on the right. It is graded from 0 to 100, but in RL, was from 0-10-20-30-40-50-60 .

Hi, folks!

Today I made a texture of Jackie Stewart's steering wheel for the BRM P115. It was an 2 hour job, so maybe it's not perfect. Resolution is 1024 x 1024 px.
On the reference image you can see Stewart's BRM P115 in Zandvoort 1967. He wanted to have a spanner mounted on the steering wheel. Colour of the steering wheel was red, although some other BRMs had a brown one.
I don't know if it has already been made by someone, but here's my version.

Please unzip and copy the file in your BRM folder. Make a backup copy of Sterbrm.mip before, in case you don't like it..
Have fun! :3gears:

Thomas Laechele

If I were going to change the steering wheels in the player car in the 67 Historic mod or 67 x ..... where would I place these steering wheel files for the P83 and P115 respectively. Placing one in the brm folder doesn't seem to work...
EDIT .... I understand now 2 things ... 1) Thomas Lachelles BRM steering wheels are too large to use in GPL ... 2) Examining Denis's Lotus wheel update for the historical mod I see each version of each car for each track must be edited in the subfolders .... Too much for my limited skills ..
