After a VERY long absence from GPL,  I"m now retired and have lots of time to do the fun stuff,  like GPL !!  I purchased a new MSI AG32C monitor and am feeding it from a GTX 970 graphics card.  I have the monitor set to it's native resolution of 1920x108,  but no where in GEM+ is that resolution listed,  and therefore I can't select it.

Is it possible to run 1920x1080 in GPL,  and if so,  what am I doing wrong?

Jim

Hi Jim, welcome back

In game - options - you will find the native resolution of your monitor in a drop down list.

Thanks, Cookie....should I be allowing GEM to set my resolution,  or do it all from the in-game menus?

Launch the game through GEM with Open GL V2 rasterisers and your desktop resolution should become available in-game, at the game's Graphics options screen.

No need to set a resolution in GEM.

Desktop resolution is 1920x1080, but that resolution does not show up in GEM, and the highest in game resolution is showing 1280x1024

What needs to be done so that GPL will allow me to run at my monitor’s native resolution of 1920x1080?

Maybe this might work? From GEM, click on the "Rasteriser" button. A dialogue box will appear which will have an option to set a custom resolution. Try setting that to 1920x1080 and starting GPL. Hopefully that will give GPL a "nudge" so it offers you that resolution in-game. :crossfingers:

These 16:9 resolutions never show up in GEM !!!

In game options is the only way to choose 1920x1080...

Cookie,
In game options doesn't include the 1920x1080,  that's my problem....

You could try editing the player.ini file in the GPL/players/"driver name" folder. Different mods use different ini files.

[ Driving Resolution ]
height = 1080        ; Resolution height of the driving screen
width = 1920         ; Resolution width of the driving screen
