Lcd Tv Resolutions Not Matching Game

Yesterday, 03:51 PM

Howdy, I'm trying to use a 42in Vizio LCD TV as my main monitor now. It works fine in Rfactor2, AC, whatever, but in my sim of choice GPL I cant get it to recognize 1920x1080 as the other games do. In GEM using OpenGLv2 it shows 1920x1440 and then once in the game defaults back to 640x480 and will only let me have a maximum of 1280x1024 in game. If use that it only shows part of the car. I am using Pribluda and the No letter box patch. Could either one of those have something to do with it?

Thanks in advance for your time,
Mike

Update: I turned on NoLetterBox patch and I have a full screen but only at 1280x720. If thats as good as it gets I'll take it, I've also read some previous posts on this issue and someone mentioned try GPLRastHack, which I did and created a custom res for 1920x1080 but it only lets you do OpenGL and not V2 and when I did I got full screen but car way on the right hand side of the screen again. Using a FOV at 58 if that helps.

Another New Pc Question

20 Jan 2019

Posted by Brian Speake in GPL-"Help! I'm having trouble with..."
My old rig will no longer run, crashes every few minutes so I will bite the bullit and look at a new W10 desktop to run mainly GPL/GTR2 and I would like to try X-Plane 11 flight simulator.

Money is not unlimited so what are the key choices to make in the spec as the old PC was nearly 10 years old I am out of touch with current thinking.

Processor/memory I was thinking of slightly older Intel chip and say 16Gb of memory, assume min 8Gb.

Graphics GTX/1050 or GTX/1060 not too different in price is the GTX/1070 worth the extra ?

Sound card wise whats a reasonable compromise or what do I look for.

Finally and maybe more longer term should I go for one large monitor or a triple-screen setup.

Charterhall New Ai

A usual airfield layout among many others, but interesting to drive due to long curves.

Drop the files into your tracks\chart folder, but is better to backup existing ones first.

Attached File  Charterhall_new_AI_by_Tato.7z   68.75K   27 downloads

Notes:

- tested with 65, 67 and SportCar Extra mod;
- includes specific track.ini for 65, 67 and Sportcar.

Known Issues

- AI cars have the tendency to go wide at first hairpin (Lodge Corner);
- AI cars sometimes hit those damned no-cut barrels... :beatdeadhorse: :gaah:
