I wanted a stand alone version of brands67 spring race with the Thomas Laechele spring update along with gliebzeit's small update to finish the horizon. I liked the idea of having the choice of racing the spring race or the summer race and now I do. I thought that I might share it with the community. It's just a small contribution and my first, hopefully not my last. :)

So you need to rename your original brands67 to something else, like originalbrands67 and install another copy of brands67 and rename it  brands67spring . Now you can copy and paste the files that are in the zipfile. Don't forget to change the originalbrands67 back to brands67.

I've also included my fog settings and a few screenshots for anyone who would like to try them .

Thx Marco (and all supporters)!

I have added a link to this stand alone spring version to the thrad that the SRMZ button at the GPLTD leads to. :)

Marco (or an admin) maybe you could rename this thread "A Small Contribution To The Comunity" to something more obvious so that you know what this thread is about, maybe like "Stand alone version of Brands67 spring race". ;)

The world is getting hotter. It figures since I love cold weather.

Was recently there for the annual HSCC historic super prix.  Never tire of Brands (miss racing my Brabham there!).

Thanks for the info Marco.
I have just done another clean install but still get "could not load track" :(
my sequence:
1: clean install using "GPL_ltrackinstall_brands67v1.0_HR.exe"
2: added thomas' update "brands67.zip"
3: added "New brands67 default & 66 horizon.7z"
4: added "Brands67_FOG HORIZ_GIN.7z"
5: added Greg's fix "brands67_Thomas_spring_update_fix_1006.rar"
6: added your spring update files "brands67spring.7z"

renamed folder to brands67spring + edited track.ini to show 'Brands Hatch Spring' in GEM

It is a little strange that it does not work, it is only this track so it is track specific not carset related.
I have re-downloaded your files in case there is a corrupt file somewhere but still no success.

I assume I am the only one with this issue as no-one else has posted so I guess it's on my end somewhere I just can't find it.

Any chance of a copy of your functioning folder?

Cheers,
roo
