Hi,

I am using WinMip2 to open my DAT-files.

You get an UNPACK-file so you can see whats in the DAT-file so far so good  :)

But what after changing...delete the UNPACK file or do you have to PACK it again  ?? confused  :really:

?????

Hans

You don't have to pack the file again.
Whatever is outside the dat has priority above what's inside the dat.
That's the beauty of it, the dat has the default stuff.
Whatever is outside is an update ;)

Thanks MECH.....but the UNPACK-file stays, or can you delete it ??

I was working with C40-dat...if you unpack it you see the UNPACK-file in car-file C40, after changing something..it must stay in C40  ??

Hans :)

Move your changes to the c40 folder first, then you can delete the "unpack" folder
