Is Gpl Repository Down?

Is been 2 days now that I cannot connect.
Is anybody experiencing the same?
The repository has all the private forums for editing so is quite important to have it in good shape. ;)
If is not just from my side, I hope is nothing too serious :unsure:

I Need Your Advice About The Long Track And Gpl Rank

Hallo guys ,

I would like to propose the people of GPL rank , if there is a possibility to inplant a kind of gpl rank only for long distante tracks .
I'm tinking about eleven track , these are

1-Monza-10k = 6.214-MILES ( 10.000-KM ) because this is a classic one ( the golden 10 ) and you have to start somewhere
2-Solitude = 7.049-MILES ( 11.416-KM )
3-Dundrod-67 = 7.401-MILES ( 11.910-KM )
4-Road-67 = 8.691-MILES ( 13.986-KM )
5-Francorchamps = 8.761-MILES ( 14.099-KM )
6-Schottenring = 9.970-MILES ( 16.045-KM )
7-Machwerk = 11.009-MILES ( 17.117-KM )
8-Brno-49 = 11.056-MILES ( 17.792-KM )
9-Nurburgring = 14.189-MILES ( 22.834-KM )
10-Ilse Of Man = 15.388-MILES ( 24.764-KM )
11-Targa Florio = 44.733-MILES ( 71.987-KM ) and to end with the one and only el flflflflflorio :P

My question is whether this is a good idea or not ?

Is it practical? No.

Does it handle particularly well. Hell no.

Still... the man built himself a blown Hemi-powered trike, and he's basically driving around California on a street-legal dragster. It has a certain appeal, obviously!

Hi guys!

I'm desparate! Last week i had to take my computer back to the shop because of a bad virus. Windows (XP) was fully re-installed. Re-united with my PC, i quickly re-installed my GPL, but not all is wel ... A small attempt to describe the situation/symptoms/problem/... : When i go to race, i can 'watch' as much as i want (switching from ai driver to driver, camera position to camera position, untill i get cockpitview (both ai in preview and myself entering the race) when the right side (aprox 1/4) of the screen freezes!!!???
As mentioned before, i run windows XP on an AMD Athlon 64, 3200+, Nvidia GeForce 6150SE nforce 430, installed all-in-one-patch V2.3, ...
Is there anybody who can help me to get racing again here?

Dundrod And Isle Of Man Zip File Download

Will anyone please help me? I'm going on vacation in a week and will be driving both the Dundrod and Isle of Man circuits. Please post the zip files for both the 1965 Dundrod and Isle of Man tracks so I can study them. I tried downloading them from the Pearson site but they wouldn't. I emailed Pearson and he said that there was a problem with MY server/ISP, even though all his other stuff downloaded just fine. Funny how ONLY his main track files won't download???? He also said that if I searched around this mirror site that I could find them. I still couldn't. I'd surely appreciate any help anyone can give me here. BTW, someone on this site did post the zip file for the 1950 Dundrod and it worked just fine. Again, thanks for your help.

Problem With 66 Mod

Hello all!This is my first post on this forum after i discovered GPL about a year back.Man it as bitten me like most people.Cant stop playing it.Anyway to the pointof the problem.I have installed 65,66 &69 mods and played them through GEM.The only problem is the 66 mod.When i tick the box in GEM PATCH CARSET FOR SOUND then go to the game it wont let me go to training or single race and then chose a track.When i hit the green button lower right to say go to training i get no eggtimer.If i go back out to gem and untick the patch carset sound option then back to the game it lets me go into any mode and do what i want?Also what is the patch carset sound and what does it exactly do.I am presuming it gives you a more realistic sound?When i play the other mods(65&69)i can tick the patch carset sound button and all is ok.Any help would be great.Thanks all!


PS:When i installed the 66 mod i used the stereo sound option.
